Frequently Asked Questions

We are here to dedicate our full attention to offering you the best weight management and GI care. Sustained weight reduction will likely improve several other medical conditions, but we ask that those conditions be attended to by your primary care provider or others on your care team.

We recognize that every patient has priorities beyond our care. One of our priorities is to stay on time to get you on with your day!

Whenever possible, please provide 24 hours notice for cancellations or delays. If you have to cancel within 24 hours, please communicate with us and we will do our best to reschedule you to the first available appointment. At the time of the visit without any advance communication, late policy is as follows:

• Under 10 minutes late: Proceed as planned
• 10-15 minutes late: Complete a brief visit, further messaging via patient portal
• More than 15 minutes late: Reschedule as able to a 15-minute check in
• No show: Reschedule as able to a 15-minute check-in

If there are two or more instances of a ‘no show’ or being more than 15 minutes late without advance communication, we reserve the right to keep payment for the most recent visit without rescheduling.

Yes! We can see you, even if you live outside of Illinois or North Carolina, as long as you’re physically located in one of our participating states at the time of your appointment.

For now, our practice offers telehealth visits in North Carolina and Illinois. If you are located in another state and cannot travel to one of our participating states, but would like to receive care from us, please visit our Patient Resources page to send us a message. This will help us be aware of your interest, as we hope to expand to other states in the future.

As noted above, we do have patients who travel to one of our participating states for their care visits – if this works for your schedule, we would love to see you this way.

At this time, we do not offer translation services. If you are seeking care and speak another language, let us know. If we see there is demand from others as well, we will work to add this service to our practice.
